GFLC Game Socials

What are Gaming Socials?

Gaming Socials are held at SPSU’s Game Lab in the Computer Science Building J in room J202. The Socials are is designed to: Illustrate our Current Collaborative Games (MCAA-SPSU) and How They Sprang to Life:

Bring SPSU students and faculty together with MCS students and faculty to demonstrate the collaborative games developed with MCAA. The elementary students and the SPSU programmers have the opportunity to demonstrate how they worked together to design, test, and deliver the games.

Demo the Game Lab – See What the Game Design and Development at SPSU is About:

Play Games! Everyone has the opportunity to play games on the powerful SPSU gaming workstations. This is valuable and authentic task for SPSU game programmers. They observe and ask questions of their “clients” to see how they play. K-12 students (and all adults who wish to play) have fun.

Engage Parents – See that Educational Video Games Can Be an Asset in STEM Education:

Introduce the concept of the Games for Learning Collaboratory, so parents can see how their children and their school system have a remarkable opportunity to develop 21st century by collaborating with SPSU students.
