About Us

Robin Daniel and Marka Ormsby have over 46 years experience in business and education technology. Robin graduated from Georgia Tech with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. She worked as a Staff Engineer at Ralston Purina and as a Performance Engineer at Delta Airlines for 5 years before starting her own computer consulting business. In her role as consultant, she proposed a Technology Plan for The Walker School in Marietta, GA and was hired as Technology Director. She spent the last 15 years working closely with teachers, students, and administrators to develop a technology program. With limited funding available, she not only met the school’s immediate needs but prepared them for flexibility and future growth.
Marka graduated from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, with a degree in Geology and went on to get her Masters Degree in Geophysical Sciences from Georgia Tech. She worked at Chevron for 19 years in Exploration and Production before moving into Information Technology. Because of her ability to communicate between IT and the business side, she was promoted to the IT Management Team. Ten years ago, Marka retired from Chevron and joined Robin in the IT Department at The Walker School where she filled the growing demand for user and software support and database development and integration.
Marka and Robin formed Tech Matters to use their experience in technology integration to help businesses plan and implement technology solutions to fit their business goals. Tech Matters created a process empowering businesses to build and maintain current and relevant on-line presences flexible enough to change as necessary with the changing times. We use our educational and technical experience to provide a variety of training resources enabling businesses to take control of their technology decisions.
